milliKelvin Temperature Logger

Non-intrusive, high-resolution, multi-channel temperature logger

When it comes to solving practical thermal stability problems, one key step is obtaining usable experimental data. Once the obvious disturbance sources have been removed, it is surprisingly difficult to identify and rank the remaining troublemakers. This can only be done by fitting the system under scrutiny with an appropriate temperature logging system. Ideally, such a system should be able to monitor both the “noisy” and the “quiet” sides for extended time periods, with sufficient resolution and of course without introducing significant heat load.

It should also faithfully work without requiring external power and/or PC connection, provide real-time data but alos save data permanently and reliably.

We have developped such a system, that provides milliKelvin resolution, absolute precision of 50mK, relative error between sensors below 100ppm, and virtually unlimited data storage. It is non intrusive with a minimal weight and space budget (240grams, 160x105x50mm) and overall will add less than 1W of thermal power to your system.

Above is the datasheet of the current, stabilized version. New capabilities are regularly added, and we are working hard on future versions, in particular an 8 channels version featuring wireless communication between modules.
